| Sports Interactive Announces Soccer MMO
We here in the States don't really get the fascination with soccer football, but I'm guessing large portions of the rest of the world will be very interested to hear about Football Manager Live, an MMO based on the Football Manager series of games. Sports Interactive's Miles Jacobson describes the game: Imagine a cross between Football Manager, fantasy sports and auctions sites and you are part of the way to understanding Football Manager Live. Players will be able to create their club from the ground up, bid in player auctions, and even make mini-leagues with their friends. It'll even have voice chat, presumably for yelling "GOOOOAAAALLLLLLLL" or something. Sports Interactive Announces Soccer MMO [Next-Gen] .

Minot Park Board accepts bids for pool projects
The Minot Park Board voted unanimously Tuesday night to accept the bids for the Roosevelt Park and Oak Park pool projects after the costs were lowered a bit. A clarification from the soil engineer indicated that excavation under the existing pool deck slabs at Roosevelt Park pool would not be necessary, resulting in a savings of $30,000. The concrete blocks used for the bath house were changed from burnished blocks to regular blocks, which saved $36,050. This brought the general contract down to $951,550. In the end, the combined total of all of the contracts was reduced by $89,689. The replacement of the small barn in the childrens zoo at Roosevelt Park Zoo was also discussed. With the zoo opening in two weeks, zoo management felt the barn, which was destroyed by fire recently, needed to be replaced as quickly as possible.
$10m TestaRossa headlines upcoming auction of rare Ferraris
For those who like their meat rare and red, news has come of the most scrumptious slab of automotive prime rib. At its upcoming event in Maranello, RM Auctions will be putting up on the block one of the rarest and most valuable Ferraris in existence: the one-of-a-kind 1962 Ferrari 330 TRI/LM Testa Rossa. The car that Phill Hill and Olivier Gendebien drove to victory at Le Mans in '62 has an estimated value between $8-10 million. Not only was it the last Testa Rossa ever built, but it was the only one to feature a 4-liter engine. As if the pedigree were not enough, Hill and Gendebien chalked up their third Le Mans win with this car . Canada-based RM Auctions is collaborating with Sothebys and Ferrari to hold the "Leggenda e Passione" auction at the Ferrari headquarters in Maranello outside Modena, Italy, on May 20.
Disruptors Welcome
In the olden days--before 2005--eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY) was ambivalent about independent developers who ginned up applications to help buyers and sellers navigate its online auctions. In fact, it actually charged those developers fees, up to hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, based on the number of people who used the programs. .
