| Capitalism and breast milk
Just as I'm wrapping up my day, I decided to take a quick look at some stories getting a lot of hits. A story that posted recently on azcentral.com about mommies selling breast milk online to men is getting quite the curiosity readers. Stories about breast milk auctions have circulated since 2005, and lactation groups are quick to advise against buying it. This has nothing to do with auctions, but when I was looking on the Web for info on breast milk sales, I came across an article about one Los Angeles-area company, Prolacta Bioscience. The company found a way to commercialize breast milk for the benefit of critically-ill and premature infants in the neonatal intensive care. What do you think? .
FCC plans for 700 MHz draw heated debate
Nearly drowned out in broad policy debates over controversial public-safety and broadband wireless proposals are pressing questions about how the Federal Communications Commission will craft the 700 MHz band plan. A coalition of 21 small- and medium-sized wireless and wireline carriers and state regulatory agencies are worried the FCC is leaning toward a 700 MH band plan largely favoring large geographic wireless licenses over small ones for auction later this year. This is a matter of great importance given the unique technical attributes of the 700 MHz band, which make it ideally suited to serve many of the more rural areas that are served or are proposed to be served by the proponents of the Balanced Consensus Plan, the group told the FCC. Included in the coalition are Alltel Corp., Aloha Partners L.P., Dobson Communications Corp.

Bidding Availalbe On Waples' Driving Suit
It's the final order of business from Western Fair Raceway's overwhelmingly successful fundraiser on January 29th which brought a life saving defibrillator to the track in support of the Chase McEachern Tribute Fund of the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation. That evening in London, Randy Waples marked his return to active driving duty after a six month recovery from the injuries he suffered in a racing accident at Mohawk last Summer. In addition to dozens of horsepeople, members of the public and staff donating that night, Waples also contributed a custom driving suit which is now available for bidding through an Ebay site auction at www.quikdropbarrie.com. The suit, and the progress of the bidding, can be accessed by going into the designated "Chase Fund Raiser" down the left column.
