Inland Real Estate Auctions to Auction Model Home and 14 Home ...

OAK BROOK, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Inland Real Estate Auctions, Inc. announced today that it will be auctioning 14 one-acre home sites and a brand-new, luxurious model home located in Oak Ridge development in Oakland County, Mich. At least five of the home sites, originally priced as high as $95,000, will be auctioned without reserve and sold regardless of price. The model home, originally priced at $479,900, will sold subject to a minimum bid of $295,000.

"This is one of the finest subdivisions we have been involved with in the greater Detroit marketplace," said Paul Rogers Senior Vice, president of Inland Real Estate Auctions. "There is a surplus of available inventory on the market, and developers are finding the auction process is the answer for accelerating sales and gaining a competitive marketing advantage."

Inland Real Estate Auctions will coordinate third party financing with Fifth Third Bank as the approved lender for the auction, offering buyers a convenient, streamlined process not only to acquire the property in one day but also to swiftly obtain financing.

SHEPHERD’S CENTER Auction ahead

Twelve months of flowers, six months of wine and one hour of professional organizing await the right bid Saturday night. These items and more than 150 others will be auctioned at a benefit for the Shepherd's Center of the Northland.

The event includes a dinner, a dance, and live and silent auctions. Proceeds from ticket and auction sales will be used to keep the nonprofit's doors open for Northland seniors who use its services and programs to make their lives easier and more fulfilling.

Fundraising is necessary, said executive director Rebecca Gordon, because "none of our programs make money."

Last year, more than 2,200 individuals used services or participated in programs. Almost all of these were free.

Not quite half of the operating budget of $229,600 comes from grants given to support specific programs.

Ocean Tomo Intellectual Property Auction This Week

I just arrived at the Swissotel in Chicago for a two day conference and auction organized by Ocean Tomo. The auction will take place Thursday afternoon and include dozens of patents and trademarks. The most recent auction netted $26M in sales, although only one domain name was sold.

The auction typically includes domain names from large companies like IBM. The last auction included Alerts.com, but buyers weren't bidding. Unfortunately, this week's auction did not receive any domain name submissions.

One of the reasons non-corporate domain name owners haven't submitted domains is the listing price of $1,000-$3,000 per domain. However, this does include entry into the event. Sales commissions are also high compared to Moniker's live auctions. Moniker charges a flat 15% of sales, whereas Ocean Tomo charges a 10% buyer's premium and 15% seller's premium.

3 North Hanover farms to be sold at auction

The State Agriculture Development Committee will sell three permanently preserved farms in Burlington County at public auctions in June.

The farms, all in North Hanover, are the 180-acre former Limm property on Meany Road, the 138-acre former Erb farm on Sykesville Road and the 310-acre former Russell farm on Jacobstown-Arneytown Road.

The auctions will be held at 11 a.m. June 8, at the former Russell farm at 274 Jacobstown-Arneytown Road. Tours of the farms, where SADC staff will be available to answer questions, will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. for the former Limm farm, 10:45 a.m. for the former Erb farm and 12:30 p.m. for the former Russell farm.

Farmland is most commonly preserved through the sale of development rights, in which landowners retain ownership of the land but give up the right to develop it for anything other than agricultural uses.
